A NYC Fall

I was trading in some old clothes at Crossroads Trading Co. in Wicker Park this September when I decided to skim the racks before leaving. I am so grateful I did! Hidden behind a stack of jackets and sweaters I saw this patterned fabric with grey-colored circles on blue, satin pants. I picked them up and thought there's no way they'll be my size, they never are. Dang...they are.

So I picked them up being all negative Nancy on myself all the way to the fitting room thinking they won't look good on me and I bet they won't even fit right and blah blah blah, nonesense.

And OF COURSE, I put them on and I love them. I mean like, how did I ever live my life with out them?!

So I said DONE and cashed in some of my Crossroads Trading Co. credit, and snatched them up!

It turned out to be a GORGEOUS fall day and the leaves had just turned. The pants, the colors, the trees, they all reminded me of NYC in the fall. I'm also SUPER STOKED that purple is a big color this season! Such an underated color...the Burgandy bag I found was so simple and slick, that I had to have it. Such a rich color for a typically dreary time of year (I'm talking to YOU winter...).

So I guess the moral of the story is JUST GO FOR IT! You never know what kind of gems you might come up with.
