Vacation Pt 1

We had been planning escaping our tedious day-to-day lives since the summer. We deposited everything we needed for a trip south and then a cruise around the Caribbean. And then, Tony won a contest and the award was a a high-end camera package. We couldn't get our money back for the trip and we couldn't plan a shoot with the amount of time remaining, so we, audaciously, decided to tackle both.

The trip was really great. We saw a lot of amazing islands, spent lots of time on white-sand beaches, and ate A LOT of food. I'm spending everyday at the gym making up for the damage I've done. Life is all about the balance. Have a lot of fun, over-indulge for a few weeks, then head back to the gym and make smart life decisions.

We spent one short night in Memphis and then made our way down to New Orleans where we spent Christmas. On Christmas day we flew to San Juan, Puerto Rico where we disembarked on a week long trip around the Southern islands of the Caribbean. It rained a lot, but it was also very sunny. I got a sunburn and sand in my bikini. That means I had fun right?
