Sweater Weather's Last Hurrah

The other day was the first day where I walked outside and thought, man it's hot. As much as I love a cool breeze in the sun, I am MORE than ready for a change of weather. I got to wear shorts the other day and I was just walking aroud smiling to myself like I had never seen the sun. There's something about summer that just fills something up in my soul. I don't know why and I don't know where it comes from, but when it happens, I'm just simply, happy.

I've been dying to bust out this jacket but, of course, it's now too hot to make this a regular in my wardrobe. There are worse things in life. I didn't realize when I bought it that it has fur lined on the inside so it's almsot double the warmth of a typical leather jacket.

The floral sweater was a small birthday present to myself as Ann Taylor Loft was have a super sale. I got five shirts and a pair of pants for $100. I think someone did the math wrong somewhere but I'm not complaining.

I must say, I don't miss the long hair ONE BIT. Can't wait to show you guys some lovely photos of my new shorter and darker 'do. Long hair is just too much maintenence or someone who knows next to nothing about hair. I actually feel more like myself in my current style than I ever did blonde.

I'm working for USPS this week at the National Restaurant Association show at McCormick as their Emcee. I know, it sounds super weird, but I'm having an absolute blast! Somehow talking on a microphone makes me feel less boring in some way. A lot of that may be internal issues but I'll take the win none the less.

Looks like I'm heading to Indianapolis this weekend for a last minute gig. I've only been a few other times for work but I'm dragging Tony along with me so we can have a little weekend away. Any recommendations on food or bars to check out? Tony will have time to explore and see museums but unfortunately I'll only have evenings free.

I promise to have something up for "Transformation Tuesday" so you guys can see my new hair! I'm so in love with it! Also, Sunday night's Game of Thrones episode Season 4 Epi 6? Yeah, this season it's GOIN DOWN Y'ALL. My book readers know what's up.
