Autumn Brunch

Every weather report keeps saying we're about to have the worst winter here in Chicago since 1904. But currently, every weekend has been in the 40s with the exception of yesterday which skyrocketed to the 50s! Count your blessings people, because the war with mother nature is still to come.

In the meantime, I'm throwing on a pair of colorful shorts and heading out for brunch. I live near some of the best brunch spots in Chicago and man, is my waist line feeln it. This will probably be the last day I'll be wearing shorts for another 5 months, so I'm living it up.

I get complemented on these shoes CONSTANTLY. I got them at the Nordstrom Half-Yearly sale last year and they have been my companions ever since. I don't think there's anything that Dolce Vita makes that I wouldn't wear.

I'm so grateful for the sunshine and warmth. It's days like these that I remember how much I love Chicago. And when it starts snowing like The Day After Tomorrow I'll go back to wondering why I live somewhere that requires 3 sweaters to sit on my couch.
