The Professional Two Piece

I must admit, I often fall in love with crop-tops online or on mannequins but when I purchase them for wear, I suddenly become the blushing bride. I wonder if a lot of this "slut-shaming" is brought on from my religous upbringing. I can't place religion on the chopping block without first looking internally at my own leanings of body image. In part, I blame my private insecurities about the slightest perceived deformity on my figure. This capricious attitude is derived from the strange psychological dilemma of perceiving oneself in the mind to be a certain way and actually viewing oneself in an image as the opposite. You think, "Do people really see me that way"?

And in the end, it never really matters as much as I think it does. Although it plagues me none the less. So I braved all of my doubts and fears and pushed them over a ledge to don this Two Piece Express Poppy Dress.

I like the nostalgic feel of this shoot mixed wtih the very modern crop. Again, I just think high waisted pencil skirts look good on anybody. I believe it would have to be a rather relaxed office environment to peek at the midsection, but regardless, I think these pieces would make a great addition individually as well. The poppy print is feminine but not overwhelming. The cuts are conservative, for a crop, but still flattering. Great with a blazer or a slub cardigan, these are my favorite knock-out two piece set this winter.

Crop tops for all, I say!
