We're coming into our record cold month of February here in Chicago and it is very, very depressing. It does something sour to the mind to stare at grey, and white, and mud all day, every day. I've taken to brightening my spirits within myself even though the world around me is so damn, dreary with lots of yoga and fresh, bright spring clothing. Even though I can't wear a single article of it yet, I am remaining hopeful. Chicago has a way of being miserable in the morning and turning into one of the nicest days you can remember by afternoon.

So thank you gods of Topshop for giving me an ounce of hope. I don't know how many more layers I can stand to wear and a super saturated blue paisley top is filling that void in my heart where bright blue sky should be. It's a pretty boxy fit (which works GREAT for my hangover days) but has great structure through the shoulders so it maintains a more formal look with the comfort of wearing your favorite baggy T-shirt.

Plus these shoes are my NEW FAVS. They are super comfortable, extra stylish, and sleek! I can't wait until the feet of snow melt so I can wear them all over town. They also have a really masculine feel to them them that is an A+. Some of the greatest fashion trends are thsoe that lean towards the middle of androgyny.

I have searched high and low for a fringed black bag but couldn't find anything under $50 or in a style that I liked until I came upon this one at Nordstrom. It is perfect for me. I like the fringe style but it won't be en vogue for much longer (unless you live and breath in the bohemian lifestyle) so I didn't want to spend loads of money on it, when I can only use it for another few seasons. This one is an excellent size and only $28! Thank you BP!
