Spring Has Sprung

Finally! The snow has melted, the trees are beginning to sprout buds, and the temperature is climbing! I'm so glad we are nearing the end of my least favorite season. I'm ready for color and life and maybe just one less layer. Celebrating the little things.

I've been away too long from this blog and I feel so bad about it. This was a dedicated goal of mine and I kept letting other needs get in the way. Granted 90% of my absence is due to work related issues, but still. I always feel like I should be doing more. Even when I pre-plan and schedule every last detail, something manages to interfere.

I actually found this dress in a thrift store. There are times I go thrift store shopping and find absolutely nothing and there are other times that I walk away with a jackpot. This dress came from one of the latter instances of my shopping adventures. Crochet is not quite my cup of tea normally, but when I put this dress on I just really loved it. I fit well, I loved the breezy ease to it and the slit of the side was a great extra detail to move it from grandma to to a slightly younger demographic.

I think it was only $20 or something too. That's a win for me! Dresses are always an excellent go-to for spring and summer. If you're getting sick of jeans and pairing tops to bottoms, slipping on a one piece item is a done and done affair. This dress was just at length for me so heels were out of the question, but maybe if you're a little shorter, a solid wedge or a chunky, strapped sandal would work perfectly.

It was also hella bright outside so I apologize for the highlights. My goal this summer is to get enough sun on my skin so that people no longer mistake me for a dead person.
